In September 2008, the Streetsboro Police Department added their newest four-legged officer "Bo," a Belgian Malinois, to the force.  Patrolman Aaron Coates, a member of the Streetsboro Police Department since February 2000, was selected as the department's K-9 Handler.

Bo is a sworn officer of the Streetsboro Police Department, and reached his first state of Ohio certifications in narcotics detection, tracking & article recovery in January 2009.
